Below are a few helpful links to help make the transition into your property go more smoothly. We've also put together a few tips that can be used as a reference during your stay. Each company has different policies and may require a deposit. UTILITIES
The contact information for the utilities is below, and is your responsibility. If you have any questions about putting the utilities into or taking them out of your name, feel free to contact our office.

 

Duke Energy

This is the company that will provide your electricity utility. The electricity account will need to be put into your name effective the first day of your lease agreement. You are responsible for transferring the service and for any and all fees associated with the transfer. You are also responsible for having the electricity taken out of your name effective the last day of your lease agreement. Please request the electricity account to be transferred back into our name/owner name; DO NOT disconnect or you will be charged!

 

City of Bloomington Utilities

This is the company that will provide your water utility and waste/recylcing service. The water account will need to be put into your name effective the first day of your lease agreement. You are responsible for transferring the service and for any and all fees associated with the transfer. You are also responsible for having the water taken out of your name effective the last day of your lease agreement. Please request the water account to be transferred back into our name/owner name; DO NOT disconnect or you will be charged!

Billing for this service is already incorporated into the water billing that you will recieve from the City of Bloomington.  Trash and Recylcing are collected once a week.  Use the myBloomington tool to find your collection day. Cans are provided by the City of Bloomington and will need to be placed curbside on your pickup day and brought back from the curb on the same day.

PARKING - Street Parking

Parking Permits may be obtained in City Hall, Suite 240, Monday thru Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Contact the Parking Enforcement department with questions at 812-349-3436 with questions.  Renters must submit a current lease. A current vehicle registration is also necessary.  A Visitor's Permit can be purchased by a resident living in the Neighborhood Zone and can be used only by a visitor while temporarily visiting that address. Only one Visitor's Permit may be purchased per address.  Each Permit is $25. A Visitor's Permit is also $25 (one per address).
